New Survivors Set for Outback

(www.broadcastingcable.com) - With "Survivor: The Australian Outback" coming at the end of the month, CBS released the identities of the second batch of 16 contestants taking part on the reality series. No, Richard Hatch is not taking part in the follow-up series, but there are eight new men and eight new women vying for $1 million jackpot. Among the new contestants, there is a personal trainer from New York City, a Harvard Law School student, a teacher, a corrections officer and a pair of bartenders. There is also an army intelligence officer, a retired police officer and a singer/songwriter. CBS will launch the second edition following its coverage of the Super Bowl on Jan. 28.
