TiVo Settles With AT&T For $215M

AT&T will pay TiVo a total of $215 million as settlement in a patent lawsuit TiVo filed in 2009 "after the phone and cable giant began offering a competing version of the set-top box that lets viewers record and fast-forward TV shows," writes Jeff Roberts.

TiVo still has a similar suit pending against Verizon, and a related case in which it was sued by Motorola.
