Procter & Gamble Brings Back "Thank You Mom"
Procter & Gamble, a Worldwide Olympic Partner, is bringing back the 'Thank You Mom" campaign for the London 2012 Olympic Games. The company first launched it for the Vancouver Winter Games.
The company plans also to raise $5 million to help establish and sustain youth sports programs around the world. A portion of sales and donations from the company's leadership brands, including Pampers, Tide, Gillette and Pantene, will go to that program.
P&G and its brands will also sponsor more than 150 athletes, who will be featured in advertising and retail campaigns to generate sales and donations that will help support youth sports. Among the athletes sponsored by P&G are Michael Phelps (Head & Shoulders); UK athlete Paula Radcliffe (Fairy and Pampers); Roger Federer (who is part of the Gillette "Young Guns" campaign); the UK's Jessica Ennis (Olay); and China's Badminton star Lin Dan (Gillette).
