ENTV Aligns With YouTube Channels

The Ion network is moving further into the entertainment news business as part of YouTube’s effort to establish a string of channels on its site. Ion and partner PMC are expanding their ENTV (Entertainment News Television) brand with a network that will include a daily appearance by former Us Editor in Chief Bonnie Fuller and some longer-form programming.

Online publisher PMC has brands such as HollywoodLife.com, which is led by Fuller, along with TVLine.com and Deadline.com. Ion might look to use its TV presence as a promotional or other platform.

Scheduled ENTV News segments will air over a 14-hour period. Fuller will offer a daily chat with a celebrity, while there will also be a daily roundup of standout YouTube clips.

Longer-form programming will include a weekly show with TVLine Editor Michael Ausiello and one focusing on up-and-coming Hollywood talent.

"The creation of the 'ENTV' YouTube channel is a strategic step toward enhancing this brand," stated Ion CEO Brandon Burgess. While touting the working partnership with PMC, already in place, Burgess noted the effort is "expanding our audience by offering the opportunity to explore new content.”

Videos on the ENTV channel Monday offered an Oscars preview from Deadline and Golden Globes coverage.
