Hulu AdZone Spotlights Ads

  • January 24, 2012

Just in time for the Super Bowl, Hulu just relaunched AdZone -- a section of the video hub where visitors can peruse a mix of famous, infamous and otherwise remarkable TV spots. Along with some of the best Super Bowl ads ever, offerings include new Super Bowl ads, as well as leaked, banned and preview ads from 2012. Also expect a big helping of editors’ picks. Standouts include Apple’s Orwellian revelation “1984”; Coke’s “Mean Joe Green” football fan fantasy; and Budweiser’s “True (Wassup)” bro mantra.

During last year’s Super Bowl, Volkswagen’s “The Force” took the prize for "Overall Most Liked,” followed by Bridgestone’s “Carma” ad and Volkswagen’s “Black Beetle.” Winners in the “Most Viewed Ads” category included Doritos’ “Pug Attack,” Volkswagen’s “The Force” and Bud Light’s “Hack Job.” More than just a Super Bowl phenomenon, Hulu says AdZone generated millions of pageviews in 2011. Exactly how many, and when most of those views were accumulated, Hulu did not say.
