H.E.B., the Texas grocery chain, staged an impromptu dance break in stores last weekend as part of its celebration of American Heart Month, sweeping 25,000 consumers up into a four-minute version of “The Cupid Shuffle.”
The San Antonio-based chain invited nonprofit and community organizations in each market to join in, as well. The weekend dance break, which happened at the peak shopping hour of 11:00 am, was to “illustrate how fun and simple fitness can be,” it says in its release. After the dance, the retailer also offered free heart screenings in store pharmacies.
