McCormick Adds Scent To Annual Report

  • February 17, 2012

Spice marketing company McCormick & Co. says it has scented its 2011 annual report with fragrant garam masala.

The company has been adding aroma to its annual reports for the last 30 years, and says this year’s choice represents the heart of Indian cuisine, and includes a blend of coriander, black pepper, cumin, cardamom and cinnamon.

The Sparks, Md.-based company says it selected the spice because last year, it completed two separate joint ventures with India, which consumes five times as much spice as the U.S. on a per-capita basis. (The scent is applied after printing, using a honey-like glaze, which is rolled over certain pages.)
