Macy’s says shoppers went in big for its two cause-related holiday campaigns last year, leading it to donate $16.7 million to charities. The programs, Thanks For Sharing and Believe, generated a $1.7 million award to the Make-A-Wish Foundation, as well as gifts to the American Heart Association’s Go Red For Women movement, The Breast Cancer Research Foundation, and Futures Without Violence, as well a number of regional groups.
