Laurence Anholt's picture book app tells the story of the relationship between Vincent van Gogh and a postman's son who befriends the painter. The app features Anholt's text as well as illustrations, including some of van Gogh's most famous paintings. Van Gogh and the Sunflowers includes an armature game that allows kids to touch an animated character to see the mechanism that makes it move. Readers can also paint the characters on each page. Users who tap van Gogh’s paintings are taken to a museum where they can experience 10 different paintings and read about each of them.
