Tedeschi Food Shops, which operates in the Northeast, is offering a line of Indian foods called Café Spice. Chicken Tikka Masala, Chicken Vindaloo, Chicken Curry, Channa Masala,and Saag Paneer meals are available with either saffron or lemon rice and are priced at $4.99.

"Bringing Café Spice meals into stores allows Tedeschi Food Shops the opportunity to appeal to a wider variety of culinary palettes, as the flavors of these dishes are unlike anything currently available. They are also a means of meeting the needs of our vegetarian, vegan, and gluten-free customers. Consumers are much more willing to try new flavor profiles, and for many young adults 'spicy' is trendy," said Bob Goodwin, director of fresh foods.
