Campbell Soup Company's top global marketing executive, Irene Chang Britt, is leaving that position to become president of the company's Pepperidge Farm division.

Britt will succeed Pat Callagan, who will retire at the end of July, after more than 30 years with Pepperidge Farm.

Campbell told Advertising Age that the company plans to evaluate its options for the chief strategy officer position -- which Britt had held since October 2010 -- and is not naming a successor at this time.

Campbell's recently announced pouch formats and a variety of other innovations to boost its soup sales, which in the U.S. declined by 2% last quarter.
