FX's 'Anger Management' Airs On Viasat For Euro Viewers

Charlie-Sheen

Charlie Sheen’s “Anger Management” will be on cable in the U.S., but available to cord cutters in Scandinavia. Producer Lionsgate has inked a deal bringing the show to northern Europe on a Viasat Broadcasting free TV platform.

Lionsgate’s international distribution arm also has deals for Canada, Latin America and Germany. The Viasat channels air “Two and a Half Men,” Sheen’s previous comedic home.

“Anger Management” debuts on FX stateside June 28, where the network has an arrangement to air 10 episodes. But if certain ratings thresholds are met, a trigger kicks in for 90 more.

FX will also launch a late-night show with Russell Brand that night, while a late-night series executive-produced by Chris Rock is set for later in the summer.

“Anger Management” features Sheen as an ex-baseball player who opts to become a therapist for other angry types, and is loosely based on the eponymous 2003 film. On Monday, Sheen told “Access Hollywood” that his dad Martin Sheen will play his father on the show.
