Actress Andrea Thompson, who left "NYPD Blue" to become a broadcast journalist on CNN Headline News, has returned to acting with a recurring role in Fox's "24." Thompson will portray Nicole Duncan,
a technical specialist brought in by CTU to play a critical role in dealing with the threat of a terrorist attack. The series premieres with a commercial-free episode on Tuesday, Oct. 28.
Thompson's debut will be Tuesday, Nov. 11.
