According to a new survey from ABI Research, two-thirds of all app users have spent money on an app at least once. While that brought the average spend up to $14 perr month for users, a deeper look into the findings revealed that the median spend for those users was $7.50, meaning there’s a disproportionate number of people who spend more on apps than the average. In fact, the highest-spending 3% of app users accounted for 20% of the total spend. Seventy percent, meanwhile, spent very little on apps, according to the company.
