Jon Diament has been promoted to senior vice president/general sales manager of CNN Advertising Sales, and Linda Yaccarino has been promoted to executive vice president of Turner Entertainment Sales and Marketing. Diament's new position expands his role to include overseeing the daily management of CNN's national sales offices, including Atlanta, Chicago, Detroit, Los Angeles and New York. Diament will also continue to focus on strategic business development and help create multi-level sponsorship partnerships for clients across all of the CNN brands. Diament joined CNN in 1990 as a sales planner and was promoted to account executive in 1992. In 1997, he was named sales manager, and a year later was promoted to the position of vice president. Yaccarino will continue to focus on strategic business development and help create multi-level sponsorship partnerships for clients across all of the Turner entertainment brands, including TNT and TBS Superstation. Yaccarino's promotion broadens her executive role within the department and she will also continue to oversee all entertainment sales for Turner Broadcasting Sales Inc.
