Subway To Screen Battleship Aboard Intrepid

  • May 16, 2012

Subway will host alumni of Wounded Warrior Project (WWP), a not-for-profit organization whose mission is to honor and empower wounded warriors, for an exclusive screening of Universal Pictures' Battleship action-adventure aboard the Intrepid Sea, Air & Space Museum in its Lutnick Theater.

Something like 200 WWP alumni will be there. Also there will be Peter Berg, the director of the film, U.S. Army Col. Gregory D. Gadson, who is co-star of the film  and a battalion leader who lost both legs in Iraq in 2007. Also on hand will be Justin Tuck, New York football.

Subway restaurants are selling limited-edition Battleship cups with film imagery and codes that drive consumers online for the chance to win prizes up to $100,000.  Film-themed point-of-sale materials include window posters, menu boards, and other supporting materials in-restaurant. Along with television, radio and print advertising, SUBWAY.com features a dedicated Battleship microsite.
