Top Internet Broadcasters Are Non-Commercial

One-third of the top ranked Internet Broadcasters are non-commercial stations, according to Arbitron Internet Broadcast for the week of September 1, 2003. MUSICMATCH was the top-ranked non-commercial Internet Broadcaster, with 1,657,963 hours of Total Time Spent Listening (TTSL), the sum total of hours tuned by listeners to a given station or network. K-LOVE Radio was ranked number nine with 171,157 hours of TTSL. WXPN-FM was ranked number 12 with 82,860 hours of TTSL; KING-FM was ranked number 13 with 67,422 hours of TTSL; and KPLU was ranked number 14 with 58,610 hours of TTSL. AOL Radio@Network and LAUNCH were the top-ranked commercial Internet Broadcasters with 5,907,839 and 2,992,686 hours of TTSL, respectively. The Adsertion Network was the top sales network, with 926,558 hours of TTSL. MUSICMATCH Artist Match was the top non-commercial Internet Broadcast Station with 586,913 hours of TTSL. AOL Top Country ranked as the highest commercial Internet Broadcast Station with 277,173 hours of TTSL. The top Content Delivery Networks (CDN) for the week of August 25 were Live365, with 2,312,551 TTSL, and StreamGuys, with 500,929 TTSL.
