Crain Communications Inc. has agreed to sell radio stations WWUS-FM and WCNK-FM to Cooke Broadcasting LLC, the companies said Wednesday. Terms weren't disclosed and the sale is pending FCC approval. The FM stations, both located in Big Pine Key, Fla., have been owned by Crain for almost 20 years. WWUS is the winner of the Edward R. Murrow Award for continuous news coverage for its 1999 news coverage of Hurricane Georges. Cooke Broadcasting owns Florida Keys newspapers and publishes the Ocean Reef Press.
