Schreiber Moves To Bugatti

Volkswagen Group has shifted Wolfgang Schreiber from commerce to extreme fun. He will be president of its Bugatti Automobiles S.A.S. starting this fall. Schreiber joins Bugatti from his current role as CEO at Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles, replaces Wolfgang Drheimer, who as part of an extensive structural and management realignment within the Volkswagen Group, moves to become the member of the Board of Management for Technical Development at Audi AG.

Schreiber, who joined the Volkswagen Group in 1984 took the top post at  transmission and drivetrain development in 1996. He moved to Bugatti Engineering in 2003 to take up the post of Technical Director and later Managing Director of the supersports car company over the next eight years. This was a period that brought out the ridiculously powerful Bugatti Veyron and Grand Sport. Schreiber has been the member of the Board of Management of Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles responsible for development since September 2006 and additionally was made Speaker for the Board of Management in February 2010.
