Ford Keeps On Trucking, F-150 Effort Breaks Friday

Ford breaks a teaser campaign today with TV spots, Internet banners and full-page as in USA Today and publications in key truck marketers to introduce its new F-150 pickup truck. The J. Walter Thompson campaign, which carries the theme, "Only this truck earned the right to be the next F-150," will switch to a heavy print rotation in September and October weekly and monthly publications. Outdoor billboards break in 10 key truck markets beginning Sept. 4. As part of the effort, Ford said it would rollout its largest ever multicultural ad campaign, with TV and print aimed at Hispanic, African American and Asian American consumers.
