Subway has become the first quick-serve restaurant to earn the American Heart Association's Heart-Check Meal Certification Program nutritional criteria, the chain reports.
The certification allows Subway to display the AMA's Heart-Check logo on all of its menus nationwide on all Subway "Fresh Fit" adult and kids' meals.
"The Heart-Check reinforces our leadership as a healthy food option for the many Americans who want a simple way to enjoy eating better," said Tony Pace, SVP, global CMO for the Subway brand.
