  • March 19, 2004
Home Magazine has partnered with Daniel Island Real Estate, Kalman Construction and Schmitt Sampson Walker Architects to create the 2004 American Home of the Year show home. Located on Daniel Island, SC, a 4,000-acre community in the heart of Charleston, SC, the project will be covered in Home Magazine's September 2004 issue.

"The building design and decorating style of Home Magazine's 2004 American Home of the Year together create an elegant but unpretentious way of life surrounding an exceptional home in an exciting community that combines modern conveniences with tranquil living" said Home vice president and publisher Jack Grant in a press release.

Home Magazine will celebrate the home's opening with a private preview and cocktail reception on April 16, 2004. Tickets are $10 and proceeds benefit the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation/Charleston Affiliate.
