Dick Wolf Receives Reisenbach Award
Nov 12, 2003, 12:00 AM
Dick Wolf, former advertising copywriter and now one of television's most successful drama series producers, has been selected by the John A. Reisenbach Foundation, the advertising and media industry's premiere charitable institution, to receive its prestigious "Distinguished Citizenship Award." Wolf, the creative force behind TV's long-running hit, "Law & Order," and a host of other police dramas, will be honored at the Reisenbach Foundation's 12th annual Gala for a Better and Safer New York on Monday, December 8 at 6:30 pm at the Union League Club of New York. Wolf is only the third person honored as a "Distinguished Citizen" by the Reisenbach Foundation in its 12-year history. The first is Gerald Levin, the former Time-Warner CEO. The second is Viacom's Dennis Swanson. Founded in 1991 after the July 30, 1990 unsolved murder of John A. Reisenbach, then the 34-year-old vice president of national advertising sales for All American Television (now FremantleMedia) at the corner of Greenwich and Jane Streets in Manhattan, The John A. Reisenbach Foundation is supported by New York's media and advertising communities.
