UK's Ad Spend To Rise in 2012, '13

GroupM has published a report on the UK's media and marketing forecast, predicting a rise in ad spend of 3.4% this year  to $20 billion and 3.2% in 2103 to $21 billion. According to the report, digital spending will exceed $8.3 billion this year and $9 next, an 11% increase. However, spending on regional and national newspapers will decline. Per the comapnys global forecasts, "the U.K. is leading media growth among the larger Western European countries,” said GroupM Futures Director Adam Smith. “Germany and France are barely positive in 2012, while Italy and Spain are expected to contract about 8%.”
