Viacom Shows Blacked Out On DirecTV

The latest battle between pay-TV distributors and content owners over the cost of programming pits DirecTV and Viacom Inc against each other, reports Reuters. The two could not reach a new contract at Tuesday's deadline. Viacom has asked DirecTV to black out Nickelodeon, MTV, Comedy Central and 14 other Viacom channels for its roughly 20 million subscribers.
