PetSmart Introduces Bret Michaels Line

Designed for “pets that rock,” PetSmart has introduced a new line of products endorsed by rock star and reality show host Bret Michaels.
Available exclusively at PetSmart stores in the United States, Canada and Puerto Rico and online at www.PetSmart.com, the collection includes toys, beds, apparel, collars, leashes and bowls.
“I know there are other pet parents like me who want to show off their pets in rock-star style,” said Michaels, in a video on PetSmart's Web site. “I’ve been a pet lover since I was a child so I created this line for everyone who wants something unique to rock their pets’ world.”
Michaels’ most recent reality show, “Bret Michaels: Life as I Know It,” gave fans a glimpse into his family life, which includes two German Shepherds (among other pets). He designed the new collection with his very own pets in mind and in his signature rock-star style, complete with tattoos, skulls, thorns and faux-leather trim decorations.
The company is promoting the line on Twitter, Facebook and YouTube.
The collection includes the former Poison front man's trademark “doo-rag” head scarf made for dogs with guitar and flame prints. Other items include a plush toy in the shape of a tour bus with hide-and-seek toys that go inside of it, a cuddler bed and a thorn-embossed leather collar and leash.
For pets that don't mind getting dressed up, there's a skull-patterned sundress as well as an “outlaw” T-shirt that has Michaels' slogan, “Rebel American Outlaw,” printed over a faded American-flag backdrop.
”Partnering with Bret Michaels allows us to offer pet parents unique products that are reflective of their pets’ personalities,” said Laurie Taylor, vice president of hardgoods merchandising for PetSmart, in a release. “The rocker vibe of the Bret Michaels Pets Rock collection extends PetSmart’s assortment of exclusive products, adding yet another one-of-a-kind option for pet parents.”
