Seeking Alpha, a Web site for financial opinion and analysis, says it has taken a leadership position in offering inventory on a VCPM (viewable cost per thousand) basis rather than CPM. The purpose is to identify that Seeking Alpha’s ads are 100% viewable. Joseph Porcellini, vice president of sales, stated: “We recognize that
there are many publishers you can purchase ads from, including DSPs and networks, however do you
really know what you are purchasing and how many of your ads are actually in-view? Seeking Alpha is a
site designed for performance."
