Big Time Rush, a teen band that stars in its own TV show on Nickelodeon, is partnering with Nintendo to show off the game maker’s 3DS handheld system and give advance looks at its Mario Kart 7 game during the band’s summer tour.

At several concert venues, Nintendo will set up a Mario Kart 7 sampling station, giving fans a chance to play the game and compete for prizes. Players will also be able to download Mii characters based on the band members. Big Time Rush will also be appearing in Nintendo’s television advertising campaign this summer.
