Bacon's Acquires Broadcast Monitoring Provider

Bacon's Information, a provider of media research, distribution, monitoring and evaluation services for PR and corporate communications professionals, has acquired the broadcast news monitoring division of Advertising Information Services, Inc. (AIS), a New York-based provider of broadcast media services. The company intends to integrate this acquisition into its existing national network of broadcast monitoring offices, and plans to move it into Bacon's office in Manhattan, where state-of-the-art digital tape production equipment will be installed over the next three months. Bacon's Broadcast Media division currently provides complete coverage of more than 135 broadcast media markets, tracking more than 4,400 news and public affairs programs every day, including 24 national and 5 international networks.
