Gervais Takes British Series 'Derek' To Netflix

Ricky Gervais, who created "The Office" for British TV and saw it explode here, just sold his British series "Derek" to Netflix, which will air it some time next year, says Deadline. It stars Gervais as a middle-aged man who works in a nursing home. Karl Pilkington, a Gervais regular, is also in the show. Roughly 2 million viewers watched the episode which lead to a full series order.
