Madison Avenue Cashes Out Of Ad Tracking Service

Video Monitoring Services, an independent company that tracks advertising and PR activity across major media, Tuesday said it acquired AIS (Advertising Information Services), an advertising tracking and research firm that was formed by the major ad agencies. Terms were not disclosed, but prior to the deal, AIS said it was still owned by 16 major ad shops. In a related move, VMS said it also acquired Broadcast News Clips, a PR tracking service from PR Newswire.
