Amazon Moves To Fashion Domination

Women’s Wear Daily reports that Amazon.com has leased a 40,000 square foot photography studio in New York, which will be devoted to the fashion category. An Amazon exec tells WWD that the Williamsburg, Brooklyn, studio is part of its plan to build up its fast-growing fashion business: “It felt like a pretty natural evolution for us as we build our fashion business, to anchor it to key outposts where we have access to top talent,” she tells the trade paper.
