Martha Stewart's Chairman Resigns

  • July 27, 2004
According to Reuters, Jeffrey Ubben, an investment manager whose firm is Martha Stewart Omnimedia's largest shareholder after Martha Stewart herself, has resigned as chairman but will remain in a director position at the company. Ubben had taken on the leadership position on the company's board back in June 2003 after Stewart resigned as chairman and chief executive upon being indicted on obstruction-of-justice charges.

Thomas Siekman, a former Compaq Computer executive who joined the board in August, will take over as chairman.
