In a move that undoubtedly will make both networks stronger in both the cable and advertising markets, Comcast Corp. Thursday announced plans to acquire the small, but well regarded TechTV network
from Vulcan Programming Inc. and to merge it with Comcast's own fledgling G4 network. The combined, as-yet-unnamed channel would be available to 44 million subscribers. G4 focuses on video games and
the gamer lifestyle, while TechTV features programming about technology, including video games.
