Convenience Store News: Gasoline Prices Await Fiscal Cliff

  • December 27, 2012

Gas prices have been trending lower, but as we get our barrels ready to go over the fiscal waterfall, gasoline will probably fall along with us, according to the Convenience Store News. According to AAA, any deal would translate into good news for the economy, and a good economy raises the demand for gas resulting in higher prices at the pump. Tom Kloza, chief oil analyst with the Oil Price Information Systems (OPIS) agreed with this assessment but noted that some regions of the country, like the Midwest, could see periodic price cuts even if legislators come to an agreement.
