Sprint Creates Entertain ME Service

  • January 8, 2013

Sprint is making it easier for its customers to find all the entertainment items on their smartphones in one place. Through a new Entertain ME service within its Sprint Zone application, users of Android smartphones will have a place to discover, purchase and listen to entertainment ranging from music to mobile TV.

“Entertain ME makes it easy for customers to search for, listen to and watch what they want, and Sprint’s unlimited data plans mean customers don’t have to worry about surprises on their monthly bill from data overage charges like they might with shared data plans from AT&T or Verizon,” said Fared Adib, senior vice president, product development and operations at Sprint, in a statement. “Entertain ME also delivers a great discovery mechanism for the third-party services we feature there.”

Those third party services include Spotify, Shazam, iHeartRadio and Rumpus. The Entertain ME service will provide search, online and offline playback for music and access to live and video-on-demand content for Sprint TV and Movies.
