Zoom Booms Into New Year, Resolves To Get Even More Fit With Town Sports Deal
It’s not uncommon to make resolutions to get more fit coming into a new year, but place-based, digital out-of-home media giant Zoom Media & Marketing is doing something about it. Actually, it just cut a deal to extend its reach into one of America’s preeminent health club chains. The deal with Town Sports International -- which operates 157 clubs such as the New York Sports Club, Boston Sports Club, and Philadelphia Sports Club -- will extend its full-motion video and digital display signage reach to 520,000 members in some of the most affluent markets in the sector.
“We were the clear market leader in fitness prior to teaming up with TSI,” boasts François de Gaspé Beaubien, Chairman & CEO of Zoom, adding that the new agreement “enables a true ‘one stop shop’ for our clients and agencies when it comes to reaching the fitness consumer. We are now in over 140 DMAs across the US…coast to coast we cover it all.”
TSI isn’t entirely new to Zoom’s network. It has been collaborating with Zoom’s ClubCom digital media network for more than a decade, but the new agreement makes it a true affiliate and will integrate all of Zoom’s multimedia options into TSI’s outlets -- both video and digital signage, including its Television Entertainment Network and billboards in the clubs’ common areas and locker rooms, as well as sampling and event marketing options.
The integration is expected to be completed within 90 days, with TSI’s flagship New York City clubs being the top priority.
