The Walmart Foundation says it is once again funding MyFreeTaxes, providing $4.1 million to Goodwill Industries International, National Disability Institute and United Way Worldwide for free tax prep for those with disabilities, as well as lower-income families.

In addition to filing federal and state tax returns, the grant also helps eligible participants with Earned Income Tax Credit (EITC) eligibility education. (Since 2009, Walmart says the program has helped 4.5 million families get nearly $6 billion in credits and tax refunds.) This year’s program is expected to assist in refunds amounting to $1.95 billion.
