Email Attack Exploits Vulnerability in Yahoo Site to Hijack Accounts

Hackers behind a recently detected email attack campaign are exploiting a vulnerability in a Yahoo website to hijack the email accounts of Yahoo users and use them for spam, according to security researchers from antivirus vendor Bitdefender. After discovering the attack on Wednesday, Bitdefender analysts searched the spam database and found evidence that the attacks may have been occurring for almost a month. The company reported the issue to Yahoo on Wednesday but it appeared unresolved on Thursday.
