So Much For Romantic Idea Of Craft Beers

Anheuser-Busch InBev and SABMiller own 210 beer brands between them in 42 countries. It's the result of a decade-long consolidation of suds. The two companies and others have spent about $195 billion buying up brewers from all around the world. Now Anheuser-Busch InBev is working on owning Grupo Modelo. If it does, it’ll control 46% of the beer market in the U.S. That’s why the Department of Justice’s anti-trust alarm bells have been ringing.
