Hyundai Takes On OnStar With Blue Link Assurance

Remember the depths of the recession? That's when Hyundai Motor American launched Assurance, where, if you lost your job, the automaker would take your car back. Now the Fountain Valley, Calif.-based company is launching Assurance Connected Care. No, it doesn't give you a job, but it does tie in to Hyundai Blue Link telematics to at least make sure your boss knows where you are if you have an accident on the way to work.

The technology includes automatic collision notification; SOS emergency assistance; enhanced roadside assistance; vehicle diagnostics with monthly vehicle health report; maintenance alert; automatic diagnostic trouble code notification; recall advisor; and in vehicle service scheduling.
