CBS squeezed through a Tuesday night win over NBC with a more consistent prime-time viewing lineup overall, led by its "NCIS" franchise of shows.
It was at a Nielsen 2.2 rating/6 share among 18-49 viewers to NBC's 2.1/6.
CBS had a 2.8/8 for its original "NCIS" show at 8 p.m. and a 2.7/7 for "NCIS: Los Angeles" at 9 p.m. Both shows
were just about at the same levels versus their last original episodes.
NBC's "The Voice" continued its strong performance at a 4.1/12. But this was down about a half-rating point from the
week before. After this, NBC could not compete with CBS -- or other network fare. At 9 p.m., two hours of NBC's new dating reality show "Ready for Love," already cancelled, played out its string of
original shows, pulling in a 1.1/3.
ABC's new diving reality effort "Splash," another new midseason reality series, landed at the same level as NBC's "Love" with a 1.1/3.
Other
established reality notables: Fox's "Hell's Kitchen" was at a 2.0/6, down two-tenths of a point from the week before. ABC's "Dancing with the Stars" was at a similar 2.0/5, also down two-tenths from
the previous week.
Some promising news for ABC: Its "Body of Proof" at 10 p.m. was at a 1.6/4, up two-tenths of a rating point from the week before -- winning the time period. CBS' "Golden
Boy" was at a 1.4/4, good for second place.
After CBS and NBC vied for the top two places on the night among 18-49 viewers, ABC, Fox and Univision were each at a 1.5/4. The CW arrived at a
0.4/1.
