April Another Big Month for Video Ad Views, Less So for Total Viewers

ComScore’s monthly scorecard of video shows that in April 181.9 million Americans watched 38.8 million videos. That’s slightly fewer viewers than in March (182.4 million) and slightly fewer videos (39.3 million in March)

But users viewed a record 13.2 billion ads, roughly 70,000 more than the month before.

Google Sites, driven YouTube.com, ranked as the top online video content property in April with 13 billion videos viewed and 154.6 million unique viewers, slightly more than March, followed by Facebook with 627 million, VEVO with 52.9 million, NDN with 45.3 million, and Yahoo Sites with 45.1 million.

In the top ten, there weren’t major changes, but there were some. Yahoo’s 45.1 million views was off from 50 million in March. AOL went from approximately 40 million viewers in March to  36 million in April, while Microsoft sites increased from 35 million in March to 42 million in April. NDN went 43 million views to 45 million.
