Country Time: Lemonade 'Stand-Tacular' Aids Kids

Country-Time-Lemonade-Stand-B2Kraft Foods’ Country Time Lemonade has launched a “Great American Lemonade Stand-Tacular” Facebook-based campaign designed to help kids and their parents build a “world-class” real-life lemonade stand, while benefitting kids’ cancer research through Alex's Lemonade Stand Foundation (ALSF).

Country Time is inviting families nationwide to visit its Facebook page (also reachable through its site) and download its free “Stand Plan” – a creative, user-friendly guide offering all the information they need to build the best stand, while teaching kids a bit about business basics.

In addition, for every photo of a lemonade stand that’s posted to the brand’s Facebook page this summer, County Time will donate $5 (up to $50,000) to ALSF.

The “Stand Plan” includes a check list of everything needed for the lemonade stand; tips and tools (including decoration and marketing ideas, how to calculate profits, and customer service advice); extra touches to set the stand apart (e.g., banners, coasters, table tents); recipes for cookies and baked goods made with Country Time drink mixes; and a “Masters of Lemonomics Good-Heartedness” certificate for kids who choose to donate their proceeds to ALSF.

Through the Stand-Tacular, Country Time will be supporting other key fundraising events, including Midwest Lemonade Days in Kansas City and Alex’s Original Lemonade Stand event in Philadelphia, ALSF’s marquee annual event.

ALSF was founded in 2000, after four-year-old cancer patient Alexandra “Alex” Scott (1996-2004) announced that she wanted to hold a lemonade stand to raise money to help find a cure for all children with cancer. To date, the nonprofit foundation has raised more than $60 million toward fulfilling Alex’s dream of finding a cure, funding over 300 pediatric cancer research projects nationally.
