Millward Brown Taps Rhall As Global CEO

Travyn-RhallMillward Brown, the WPP-owned ad copy tester and brand and media research company, has named Travyn Rhall as global CEO, effective in July, the company has confirmed.

Rhall will replace Eileen Campbell, who is joining film technology company IMAX Corp. as global chief marketing officer. He is currently CEO of Millward Brown’s Africa, Middle East, Asia and Pacific region. Millward is a unit of WPP research arm Kantar. In his new position, Rhall will report to Kantar CEO Eric Salama. Both are based in the UK.

Rhall has been CEO of Millward’s AMAP region since 2006. Earlier, he held management posts at The Nielsen Company in both the U.S. and the Asia-Pacific region. Before that, he held senior roles with Roy Morgan Research and the Australian Bureau of Statistics.

Salama cited Rhall’s “firsthand experience of the needs of clients as they expand into emerging markets and [his] experience with global clients and in developed markets, such as the U.S."

Campbell’s appointment to the IMAX post is effective July 15. She has been CEO of Millward Brown since 2007. Previously, she was the company’s head of global development and North America CEO. Prior to Millward Brown, Campbell held senior management roles with market research firms, including Angus Reid Group, NFO Worldgroup and Maritz.

IMAX CEO Richard Gelfond cited Campbell’s “impressive marketing and leadership credentials coupled with her analytic-based approach to brand-building.” Those skills, he added, “will help us to strengthen and extend our brand value in support of our continued growth.”
