Our Sixth Sense (AKA: Tech)

When it comes right down to it, ad technology is not only providing publishers and advertisers with better tools, but it's making user experiences all the more enjoyable. After all, if the tech ruined the user experience, there would be no more users.

We use our five senses - sight, hearing, touch, smell, and taste - all in real-time, and often subconsciously, so why not let our sixth (tech-driven) sense work the same way? My6sense, a "native mobile content personalization" company focused on helping publishers, is all about offering users that sixth sense.

My6sense just received $2 million in funding from a private investor. Previously, the company was consumer focused, but they are using the money to roll out their "mobile content discovery and monetization platform" for publishers, and the "Content Discovery Bar" looks pretty neat. Check out the embedded video to see for yourself.

If it works as well as advertised, it really does seem like a sixth sense for consumers that "knows" when they are getting bored and "knows" how to keep them interested. Ideally, something like this is nice for retaining customers.

In terms of real-time ad delivery, my6sense isn't there yet. However, if the tech is spitting out personalized real-time content, it shouldn't take long for retargeting to follow in its wake.
