By its own standards, the PC industry had something to cheer about, this week. IDC reported global shipments of 75.6 million units in the quarter, which, while amounting to an 11.4% decline
year-over-year, was slightly better than the research firm’s forecast. Hewlett-Packard, meanwhile, is no longer the top dog in an increasingly bottom-feeding industry, Mercury News reports.
