Locaid, a location-as-a-service company, this morning announced the launch of Locaid Campaigns, a campaign management platform for location-based marketing. Locaid Campaigns is meant to
allow advertisers to use location data to deliver real-time offers on mobile devices through SMS messages and apps. It also stretches the usual definition of "mobile," as the platform is able to reach
consumers through auto "infotainment" systems.
The company claims that the new platform can reach 100% of consumers regardless of device. The company also claims that Locaid Campaigns can
increase store and venue foot traffic as well as redemption rates. It can also link consumers cross-channel by locations and behaviors.
Jeff Allyn, SVP of sales and marketing at Locaid, stated, "Location is the must-have enabler for every marketer." He added, "Physical world context is radically changing the mobile marketer's playbook."
