Internet Tech Firms Favor Quieter IPO Process

Three ad tech companies that went public this year -- Marin Software, Tremor Video and YuMe -- filed confidential pre-IPO papers with the SEC, an advantage of the new Jumpstart Our Business Startups (JOBS) Act that lets firms with less than $1B in annual revenue to secretly submit filings for review. Twitter just did it, too.
