Visa Enlists Falcons' Julio Jones

A new TV spot from Visa stars Atlanta Falcons Wide Receiver Julio Jones.

During the ad, for Visa's #MyFootballFantasy campaign, Jones receives inspiration for a new touchdown dance from a local fan. The dance becomes a hit around the world with everyone from Bollywood to his character in Madden NFL 25 doing the new dance.

The commercial, which will run through mid-November, is an example of one potential fantasy that fans could submit through the #MyFootballFantasy campaign. Throughout the NFL season, Visa is giving NFL fans the chance to have their football fantasies fulfilled by creating and submitting their own personalized NFL fantasy.

Fans can share their football fantasies using the #MyFootballFantasy hashtag on Twitter and Instagram, and via the visa.com/MyFootballFantasy microsite.

Alex Craddock, head of North American marketing at Visa, said the company's focus is how, through the sponsorship, the brand adds value to the fan's already rich NFL experience.

“So it was only fitting that the creative direction of the commercial led to NFL fans of all types being featured prominently,” Craddock tells Marketing Daily. “The reveal of Julio is a fitting reward at the end of the spot, representing the type of personalized fantasies we'll be providing to fans throughout the season.”

The commercial brings to life the objective of the campaign, to inspire NFL fans to share their football fantasies and use their Visa card for a chance to have that fantasy fulfilled by Visa, he said.

“Through the campaign, Visa is putting the power of creating exciting NFL experiences in the hands of the fans, and we've been impressed with the creativity we've seen from fans early in the campaign,” Craddock says.
